HUD Secretary Donovan, Gov. Hickenlooper, Sens. Udall and Bennet to announce funding for disaster recovery

DENVER — Thursday, March 13, 2014 — Secretary of U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Shaun Donovan, Gov. John Hickenlooper and U.S. Sens. Mark Udall and Michael Bennet will announce a second round of HUD disaster recovery funds for Colorado on Friday. The funding will help the hardest hit communities recover from the September 2013 floods.

In December 2013, HUD awarded an initial allocation of $62.8 million in Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) to Colorado. The three counties most severely affected by the flooding, Boulder, Weld and Larimer counties, will receive 80 percent of those funds.
