An historical archive of the year of the great flood.

As we learned at the town meeting on Wednesday, the name SBA is a real misnomer. (Government, go figure.) The SBA is a major source of PERSONAL and business assistance in the form of low interest and/or grants if you qualify. The tricky part is that there’s no way to know if you qualify unless you apply. The application deadline is Nov. 14, 2013 and if you miss that you are out of luck if you find out you need personal assistance after that date. For example, if a crack shows up in your foundation later on due to the super-saturated soil..

Keep checking the countdown timer in the right sidebar so you don;t get caught by surprise and miss the deadline.

If you are skeptical that this is for for you, please call the SBA officer that spoke at the town meeting. He will explain the program and the benefits very clearly to you.

William (Bill) Koontz
SBA Public Information Officer
916.847.2346

It is absolutely essential that you file an application for your house and property by November 14 or else you will never get another opportunity again to take advantage of what they have to offer. Worst case, they will not be able to help you.

THREE WAYS TO APPLY FOR SBA ASSISTANCE

  • Apply online using SBA’s Electronic Loan Application.
  • Apply in person at any local Disaster Recovery Center in Colorado and receive personal, one-on-one help from an SBA representative.
  • Complete a paper application and mail it to SBA at:

14925 Kingsport Rd.
Ft. Worth, TX 76155-2243

If you have questions or want to discuss your individual situation, you may meet directly with an SBA representative by visiting one of our current Disaster Recovery Centers in Colorado. No appointment is necessary.
